Set List From Yesterday's Metallica Show In London

The set list at the London show yesterday (Monday) was almost exactly the same as the set list at last Friday's show in Berlin. The only difference was that the first encore played in Berlin was "Blitzkrieg". In London this was changed to "Stone Cold Crazy". The set list looked like this:

That Was Just Your Life
End Of The Line
The Thing That Should Not Be
Of Wolf And Man
One
Broken, Beat And Scarred
Cyanide
Frantic
Until It Sleeps
Wherever I May Roam
For Whom The Bells Tolls
The Day That Never Comes
Master Of Puppets
Blackened
Stone Cold Crazy
Jump In The Fire
Seek and Destroy

Photos From Berlin

Here are some photos I took at last Friday's show in Berlin.

Back From Berlin

I have now returned from Berlin where Metallica played their "Death Magnetic Release Party" gig last Friday. The show was (as always) really good. It felt a bit unusual to see them without any stage effects. This was especially noticed in "One" where we all have gotten used to the pyro effects. The stage was placed in the middle of the floor so everyone got a good view.

The songs played were the following:

That Was Just Your Life
End Of The Line
The Thing That Should Not Be
Of Wolf And Man
One
Broken, Beat And Scarred
Cyanide
Frantic
Until It Sleeps
Wherever I May Roam
For Whom The Bells Tolls
The Day That Never Comes
Master Of Puppets
Blackened
Blitzkrieg
Jump In The Fire
Seek and Destroy

The best songs were Blackened and Until It Sleeps. You could easily tell that they were a bit unsecure while playing the new songs.

This was the first show ever at the newly built O2 Arena. The arena looked quite nice and since the stage was in the middle of the arena it felt rather intimate.

I will post some photos I took later today.
